KISMET Lore dump: In especially mana-rich regions of the Perseus system, one can find deposits of ether, the crystalized form of coalesced mana. Etherite, its impure form, is more common. Pure ether is, by its nature, extremely dangerous to most organic life forms--mere minutes of exposure is fatal for most adult humans--though scientists have noted the existence of a few extremophile organisms that seem to take shelter amidst ether deposits.
